Day 84: That is 12 weeks of hunkering down progressing to mostly hunkering down. Since week 70, we’ve raised our heads a little at a time. We had a visit with relatives who also hunkered nearly the same number of days. Then we had distanced coffee with friends in a Starbucks parking lot1. We had distanced coffee with different friends in another parking lot.
Writing is at a hard to get started again or finish other work stage after having self-published Iniquities of the Fathers: A Story of Illusions and Deceptions. This is nothing new to me – it has been the same just after most projects I’ve completed. I’m guessing that half of my mind is seeking rest and the other half is questioning why.
So, being of relatively sound mind, as well as my octogenarian body can be, having nothing of substance to say, and not wanting to discuss current issues, I’m closing my hunkering down series and going back to posting whenever. Therefore, I don’t expect any reader to wait with bated breath for XXX.2
Random quotes from my books:
“Neither sergeant spoke of what they were doing after their return, and fully understanding need-to-know, I didn’t ask.”3
“… to anyone who did not have a Dick and Jane childhood.”4
